Capital of Ethiopia

Addis Ababa is the capital and largest city of Ethiopia. It is the seat of the Ethiopian federal government.

As a chartered city (ras gez astedader), Addis Ababa has the status of both a city and a state. It is where the African Union is and its predecessor the OAU was based. It also hosts the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and numerous other continental and international organizations. Addis Ababa is therefore often referred to as “the political capital of Africa” for its historical, diplomatic and political significance for the continent.

The city is populated by people from different regions of Ethiopia. It is home to Addis Ababa University.

Bahir Dar

Bahir Dar is the capital city of the Amhara region in northern Ethiopia. It’s a port on the south shore of the huge inland Lake Tana. Dek Island is one of many islands in the lake that are home to medieval monasteries. On the Zege Peninsula, the Ura Kidane Mihret monastery is known for its elaborate, colorful murals. The Blue Nile River snakes southeast of the city toward the towering cliffs at the Blue Nile Falls.

Lalibela is a town in the Amhara region of northern Ethiopia. It’s known for its distinctive rock-cut churches dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, which are pilgrimage sites for Coptic Christians. Carved out of rock, the subterranean monoliths include huge Bete Medhane Alem, and cross-shaped Bete Giyorgis. Many are joined by tunnels and trenches, and some have carved bas-reliefs and colored frescoes inside.

Kombolcha town was founded during the Italian occupation in 1935-1940.

Day 01 (Addis Abeba – Bahir Dar)

The 560Km road linking Addis to Bahir Dar is a full day drive which  includes the very magnificent gorge with an altitude of around 2500m to 1200m follows the course of the Blue Nile ,Fiche ,Debre Libanos and Debre Markos are the most notable towns with their attractions on the way to Bahir Dar. Day 02 (Bahir Dar)

Full day visit of the surrounding picturesque capital of Amhara Region that includes the Abay River ( Blue Nile River) which passes through the city from its source ,Lake Tana towards the nearby Blue Nile Falls situated 30 Km south of Bahir Dar , which are simply breathtaking .Afternoon boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the famous monasteries located on the south west edge of the Lake in the Zegie Peninsula which hosts dense forests and monasteries like Ura Kidane Mihret and Azewa Mariam .Return back to the city .Overnight at  Hotel

Day 03 (Bahir Dar- Gondar-Debark)

Drive to the historic town of Gondar covering about 180Km from Bahir Dar and  first established in 1635 by Emperor Fasiladas as his seat of power and stayed as capital of the Ethiopian Empire for the next 250 years. The visit includes the Royal Enclosure containing several medieval castles and churches lies surrounded by tall stone walls among which is the brilliantly decorated church of Debre Birhan Selassie .After completing the sightseeing’s in Gondar the drive will continue to Debark town 100Km from Gondar, the Base to explore the Semien Mountain National Park, the most favored hiking destination in Ethiopia which also happens to be a UNESCO World Heritage site. Day 04 (Debark)

A small town of Debark at a chilly altitude of 2,800m on the western base of the Semien Mountains National Park and 32Km away from the boundary of the park. Covering an area of more than 400square Km ,Semien Mountain National Park is one of the major parks in Ethiopia with an altitude 1900m at its lowest point and 4533m above sea level at its highest  peak in Ethiopia namely ,Ras Dejen Mountain. Your hike on a spectacular Landscape will give you the opportunity to explore the massive erosion over millions of years has created jagged mountain peaks ,deep valleys and significance Biodiversity conversation as it is home to globally threatened species including the Iconic Walia Ibex , a wild mountain goat ,the Gelada Baboon and the Ethiopian Wolf. Day 05 (Debark – Lalibela)

Full day drive to Lalibela passing through many Amhara villages and magnificent mountain ranges .Among the notable villages and mountains, the Awra Amba peculiar community and the Checheho chained mountain are the most breath taking views in this route up to Lalibela. Overnight at Hotel

Day 06 (Lalibela)

Full day visits of Lalibela at 2500m above sea level, intricately carved rock Hewn Churches in the 12th and 13th centuries by the greatest and most famous ruler, the 12th century Saint-King Lalibela. Some of the major churches of Lalibela that will be visited in the same compound include Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Mariam, Bet Amanuel, Bet Giorgis ,Bet Meskel, Bet Denagel ,Bethlehem ,Bet Merkorios ,Aba Libanos and Bet Golgotha. Day 07(Lalibela – Kombolcha)

Drive to Kombolcha passing through the famous and historical towns of Sekota (with cultural rich Wag Himra Society), Woldiya and Dessie .Pay a visit to the historical Hayq Estefan’s church and Lake Logo supported by the surrounding fields and forest with interesting place for variety of water-birds and other bird species .You will also see traditional fishermen on Papyrus tankwas over the Lake.Overnight at Hotel

Day 08(Kombolcha – Addis)

Drive back to Addis passing through the main interesting route that contains interesting villages of Wollo Society and the western escarpments of the Great Rift Valley. Attend the traditional complimentary dinner party with folklore and Dance .Transferred to the Airport for the flight back Home.
